Who are the top 25 first basemen for the upcoming 2021 Fantasy Baseball season? Look no further, Our Esquina has you covered.

With a little more than two weeks before Opening Day, fans are ramping up their research for the upcoming 2021 Fantasy Baseball season. Before then, Our Esquina will drop rankings by position and/or updates every day until the first pitch of the regular season is thrown.

Today, we’re going to rank the league’s top 25 first basemen. First base is one of the most high-powered positions in Fantasy Leagues, so chances are that whomever you pick will be productive. Top-tier players (Top 5) will garner more points, in the long run, so keep your sights on those guys.

Before we begin, these rankings are for head-to-head (H2H) leagues. Determinations were made by aggregating all projection stats, which can be found on FanGraphs.

On the Cusp

A few more first basemen you should probably consider are…

Yuli Gurriel, Houston Astros – The truth is, Gurriel is one of the most overlooked first basemen in the league. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated great contact ability, and before the pandemic-shortened season, in 2019, he boasted a career-high .884 SLG. Don’t be surprised if his power production increases in 2021.

Christian Walker, Arizona Diamondbacks – Similar to Yuli Gurriel, Walker found his power in 2019. That season, he hit a career-high 29 home runs. 2020 was a bit of a disappointing season for Walker, but considering how brief that year was, don’t use it against him.
