The place where Latinos want their stories told

At Our Esquina, we want to be the place where Latinos want their stories told. Through written features, powerful columns, social media storytelling, documentaries and podcasts, we want to change the landscape of coverage of Latinos in sports media. We seek to provide a voice for all the futbolistas and peloteros and the many journalists eager to participate as well.

Internship Program

From the sweet swing of Fernando Tatis Jr. to the masterful strike of Carlos Vela, Latinos are more prevalent now than ever across major American sports. While it is not uncommon to see a Latino gracing the nightly sports highlights, it is far more rare to see the level of coverage to match.

Far too often the voices of Latinos are hidden behind interpreters or not heard altogether. More so, the lack of Latinos covering sports is disheartening.
