Sylvia Lind
Sylvia Lind is a first-generation Cuban-American, lifelong baseball fan and a bilingual attorney who never doubted baseball would be her passion and career. During undergraduate studies at Adelphi University, she interned with Yankees Magazine and MLB Productions. After securing her Bachelor of Arts in Communications, she moved on to SPORT Magazine and ABC Radio Network Sports, where she served as editorial assistant on the legendary Howard Cosell’s last book.
Starting in the legal department at MLB Properties working on licensing matters, Sylvia moved on to the Commissioner’s Office where she spent several years as Director of Minor League Operations, overseeing the Clubs’ player development efforts and the relationship between the Major and Minor Leagues. She led the General Managers Player Development Committee and was co-creator of the annual All-Star Futures Game, as well as the Civil Rights Game.
Sylvia now operates her own player agency, Esquina Caliente Sports, bringing more than two decades of industry knowledge, along with a vast network of relationships, negotiating experience and insider information that all prove invaluable resources in representing players.
