Who are the top 25 third basemen for the upcoming 2021 Fantasy Baseball season? Look no further, Our Esquina has you covered.

With a little more than two weeks before Opening Day, fans are ramping up their research for the upcoming 2021 Fantasy Baseball season. Before then, Our Esquina is dropping their 2021 Fantasy Baseball Rankings by position, including updates, every day until the first pitch of the regular season is thrown.

Today, we’re going to rank the league’s top 25 third basemen. With Alex Rodriguez opting to take the hot corner upon arriving in New York back in 2004, the position was transformed. Since then, third basemen have transitioned into essential pieces on both sides of the field.

Be careful when drafting a player at this position, however, because there is a steep decline in production around the middle of the pack.

Before we begin, these rankings are for head-to-head (H2H) leagues. Determinations were made by aggregating all projection stats, which can be found on FanGraphs.

On the Cusp

A few more third basemen you should probably consider are:

Asdrubal Cabrera, WSN – A 14-year veteran, Cabrera can manage multiple infield positions at above-average levels. He can also go on hot streaks that can be the difference between a win and a loss on any given week. However, I would not recommend Cabrera as the first option on any Fantasy Baseball team.

Miguel Andujar, NYY – Ever since his impressive 2018 campaign, Andujar has struggled to find a place on the Yankees. Defensively, he is simply atrocious and, therefore, cannot fill a role on the team. Fortunately, his bat is above average in the league and if given an opportunity, Andujar could win over a starting role in New York. Similar to Cabrera, avoid making him your fist option.
