Astros take series from the Dodgers
It had been so long since the Astros took a series from the Los Angeles Dodgers, the last time Houston won a series against their 2017 World Series opponent nobody had discussed a cheating scandal.
But the Astros took two of three at Minute Maid Park over the weekend to win a series against the Dodgers for the first time since 2018. Lorenzo Delgado and Angel Cantu recapped the 2017 World Series rematch.
Lorenzo, who profiled Dodgers reliever Anthony Banda, and Angel discussed how the Astros’ offense passed the baton against the Dodgers. They also praised the good starting pitching during the series. Framber Valdez was dominant in the series opener against the Dodgers.
Ronel Blanco stumbled a bit, but he gave his teammates a chance. Alex Bregman took care of the rest with a walk-off home run in the ninth inning Saturday, capping a comeback from a 5-0 deficit.
