American League Wild Card series: Detroit Tigers vs. Houston Astros
The regular season is over and the inevitable happened, the Houston Astros are playing postseason baseball in October. Houston only played 161 games because the series finale between the Guardians and the Astros was canceled, due to heavy rain. Though, it was enough for the Astros to clinch the third seed in the American League after winning the division crown. The ‘Stros will face the Tigers in the American League Wild Card series, Tuesday afternoon at Minute Maid Park.
Dominican righty Ronel Blanco pitched great and three-time Cy Young winner Justin Verlander finished the season on a positive note. Lorenzo Delgado and Angel Cantu host the Astros Awards and name their regular season award winners. Check out who each host nominated as their Astros MVP, Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year. A few names appear more than once.
