Celso Thomas Castilho

A product of the University of California system, Celso Thomas Castilho received his PhD in Latin American history from UC Berkeley. He is an associate professor of history at Vanderbilt University, where he teaches a course called “Fútbol-Soccer: Latinx Culture, Gender, and Diaspora.” He is writing a Latino history of the 1994 Men’s World Cup.
