Texas A&M All-American KC Concepcion shows arsenal

KC Concepcion shows versatility at NFL Combine

INDIANAPOLIS — After a season in which Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion earned multiple honors, his path to the 2026 NFL Combine can be traced to the years he spent playing every role. Now, on one of the sport’s biggest evaluation stages, he showed the full scope of skills.

“I always knew I could play any position on the field,” Concepcion said at the NFL Combine. “I’m thankful for NC State allowing me to be able to showcase what I can do from the slot.

“And that was a big reason for me being a transfer. I wanted to showcase to the NFL and I wanted to show everybody that I’m not just a gadget guy. I can run routes, I can run the full route tree. I can play Z, I can play X, I play F.”

Game changer

At Texas A&M he became a true game changer. The All‑American is grateful for his year in College Station, a season that allowed him to be himself again.

The 2025 Paul Hornung Award winner finished his Aggie career with 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine receiving touchdowns. He also rushed for one touchdown and scored two more on punt returns.

“Again they like my competitiveness, they like my versatility,” he said.  “I can play any position on the field. I can throw the ball, I can run the ball, I can catch the ball.

“Something that the NFL teams feel like I can improve on is my concentration. This year I had seven drops. It’s something that I have to work on. I’m gonna work every day to fix it. Once I get that chance, I’m gonna catch every ball.”

His production backs up his claim of being more than a utility piece heading into the NFL Draft. Concepcion’s former teammates didn’t hesitate to validate that reputation.

‘Best receiver’ in draft

“He’s the best receiver I’ve ever played against,” cornerback Will Lee III said of Concepcion.  “He’s a top wide receiver. I think he’s the best wide receiver in the draft, honestly.”

NFL teams have taken notice. Concepcion said he has interviewed with the Raiders, Bills, Chiefs and Steelers. NFL teams were intrigued by his competitiveness and versatility. They were also direct about areas of improvement.

Concepcion acknowledged that concentration came up repeatedly. His seven drops last season were a point of self‑evaluation. He’s committed to tightening that part of his game, but one meeting in particular carried a personal weight for him.

“My meeting with the Bills went really well,” he said. ”I was actually born in New York, 585. I moved out to Charlotte when I was about 5.

“The Bills are actually my dad’s favorite team. So I’ve been watching them since I was young. I’ve been seeing Josh Allen. He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the league. I would be grateful.”
