Puerto Rican Comedian, Joey Medina

Francisco Romero welcomes standout comedian, Joey Medina to the show. Before his comedic career, he honed his boxing skills, winning a state championship and earning a shot at the world title.

Medina has made over 50 television appearances and recently completed his own SHOWTIME comedy special, Taking Off the Gloves. Medina headlines major venues across the U.S. and has toured internationally, performing in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The Bronx native also performed for U.S. Armed Forces in Bosnia, Kuwait, Iraq, and on the USS Roosevelt.

The Original Latin Kings of Comedy

Joey Medina starred in The Original Latin Kings of Comedy with Cheech Marin, Paul Rodriguez, and George Lopez. The Boricua produced and directed Cholo Comedy Slam and appeared in Latin Palooza and Cheech Marin and Friends: Live from South Beach. His debut comedy CD, Below the Belt, won accolades, and his directorial debut, El Matador, won multiple awards at the East Los Angeles Chicano Film Festival. In addition to his stand-up career, Medina hosted Sí TV’s first scripted show, Circumcised Cinema, and produced Loco Comedy Jam on Mun2. His credits also include a co-starring role in Zombie Strippers with Jenna Jameson and Robert Englund. Latin Style Magazine calls him a bridge between urban and mainstream comedy.
