In the Paint Podcast debut

In the Paint Podcast made their debut this week. This podcast, hosted by Rios and Mario will center around the Houston Rockets and major events happening around the NBA.

New Rockets coverage

In their introductory episode, the duo introduced theirselves. Rios, who also co-host Bring on the Blitz podcast, adds basketball to his Our Esquina resume. He has followed the NBA since 1991. Mario has known the Rockets since their consecutive NBA Championships.

The boys gave their fans a glimpse of what to expect from In the Paint Podcast. Mario and Rios will follow the reminder of the Rockets’ season. They will recap the weeks games and give previews of the next series of Houstons’ games. They will also voice their opinions by giving glows and grows to the young Houston team.

Rios and Mario shared their favorite Rockets moment. Rios admitted watching the Houston lift the 1995 NBA title. Both host agreed they enjoyed watching Hakeem Olajuwon dominance including outperforming David Robertson and Shaquille O’Neal.

Second in the West

Houston is off to a fast start. They are second in the Western Conference and are coming off two statements against the Cavaliers and Celtics.

The Rockets have an offensive rating of 114.4 which ranks 9th in the league. Their defensive rating is 108.4, 5th best in the league. Offensively, Houston leads the league in offensive rebounding averaging 14.7 a game. Defensively, Houston ranks 8th in steals with 9.1 steals a game.
