Popi Márquez

Intern

Popi Márquez is a senior at the University of Georgia, majoring in Spanish and public relations. She has a certificate in sports media from the Carmical Sports Media Institute at UGA, where she provides multimedia coverage of college and high school sports. She currently serves as a digital media intern for Georgia Bulldog Sports Marketing and does play-by-play announcing for Georgia Gwinnett College baseball and softball. Last summer, she interned for the Los Angeles Dodgers public relations department.

In high school, Márquez was the leader of the webcast team and piloted its expansion from covering just one sport to seven sports, combining to 50,000+ views at the end of her high school tenure. During her senior year, the webcast team was named to the GHSA Founders Club for its contributions to high school sports broadcasting.
