Pablo Olano is a sports journalist and graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a SportMedia Certificate. He has covered college and professional sports as a beat reporter for The Champaign Room and gained multimedia newsroom experience as an intern at ABC NewsChannel 20.

A former collegiate soccer player and two-year captain of UPSL side Urbana City FC, Olano brings an athlete’s perspective to his reporting and enjoys telling stories that capture the personalities, moments and passion behind sports. He is based in the Chicago area and aspires to build a career covering the games and athletes who inspire fans around the world.
