Tracking where Latinos sign on early National Signing Day

A live update of Latino football signings in college football

Could the next Fernando Mendoza or KC Concepcion be in this recruiting class? We likely won’t know for at least another year or likely two, but today we’ll track where the best Latino football prospects sign during the early National Signing period. Led by quarterback Oscar Rios of Downey (Calif) High, the Class of 2026 is loaded with Latino talent.

Rios is the highest rated Latino prospect in the Class of 2026. He has been committed to Arizona for months, and he made it official by signing Wednesday morning. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Mexican American, is a true California gunslinger.

Please follow along as we update our list through the day and entire early National Signing Day. We will update this article throughout the day and week as prospects officially submit their paperwork.

In a couple of years, Justin Morales will likely be clearing holes and protecting Oscar Rios. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound offensive tackle from El Paso’s Franklin High signed with Arizona,

Rio’s Downey High teammate Oscar Aguilar Jr., one of the best linebackers in the Los Angeles area, signed with Arizona State.

It will be fun to see Aguilar and Rios carry their friendship as archrivals. Aguilar is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound tackling machine who can play inside or outside linebacker at the next level.

Michigan-Ohio State rivalry includes two new Latino studs

Defensive tackle Alister Vallejo, one of the Top 3 Latino recruits in the Class of 2026, signed with Michigan.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder from Liberty Hills, Texas, is a 4-Star prospect who could make an immediate impact next season.

Michigan’s archrival Ohio State also landed a top Latino defensive lineman. Jamir Perez, a 6-foot-4, 360 pounder from Glenville High in Cleveland signed with the Buckeyes.

Ohio State has signed one of the Top 5 Latino recruits for the second year in a row. A year after signing Our Esquina Player of the Year Devin Sanchez, the Buckeyes signed Perez, who is the Top 4 Latino prospect on Our Esquina’s list of Top Latinos in the Class of 2026.

Boise State landed one of the best quarterbacks on the West Coast. Cash Herrera, who drew interest from Iowa and Indiana, is a 6-foot-3, 207-pound gunslinger from The Bishops School in La Joya, Calif.

El Paso great Ryan Estrada heads to Minnesota

Running back Ryan Estrada, who is El Paso’s all-time leading rusher, signed with Minnesota.  The 5-foot-9, 195-pounds accumulated more than 8,000 yards of offense at El Dorado High.

Linebacker Noriel Dominguez, a 6-foot-2 prospect from Randle High in Richmand, Texas, signed with TCU.

Phoenix Henriquez, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound wide receiver from Smyrna (Del.), has signed with Syracuse.

Despite a recent coaching change,  quarterback Osiris Lopez remained true to his commitment to Coastal Carolina. The 6-foot-1,185-pound starred at Leominster (Mass.) High.

Safety Markel Aguirre, the younger brother of University of Miami junior star Raul Aguirre Jr., is headed to NC State. Aguirre, who is nicknamed Chino, is a 6-foot, 185-pounder from Locust Grove (Ga.) Luella.

His older brother Raul Jr. is a key part of Miami’s defense.

Versatile Niko Castillo

Running back Niko Castillo is headed to Minnesota. The 6-foot-1, 235-pounder from Schuylkill Haven (Penn.) High is a versatile athlete. On defense, had had 11 sacks. On offense, he averaged more than 11 yards per carry.

Minnesota will have plenty of time to decide where Castillo fits best. He’ll be joined in Minnesota by Angel Luciano III, a linebacker from Steelton (Penn.) Highspire High. Luciano is a 6-foot-1, 225-pounder rated as the No. 27 best recruit in Pennsylvania.

Safety Jordan Rodriguez is heading north. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder from St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, N.J. signed with Boston College.

Sebastian Cruz is taking the lumber up north to New Jersey. The 5-foot-10, 180-pounds from Fleming Island High in Orange Park, Fla., signed with Rutgers.

Wide receiver Kai Meza signed with Cal. He’s a 6-foot, 185-pounder from Corner Canyon High in Draper, Utah.

Wyatt Villareal, who helped Celina High win a state title last year, has signed with Pitt. The 6-foot-5, 226-pounder has been one of the best tight ends in Texas the last two years.

Tight end Parker Almanza is staying a short drive from his home in Trophy Club, Texas. The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder from Byron Nelson High signed with Baylor.

Georgia Tech lands Kymani Morales

Kymani Morales, a 6-foot, 195-pound linebacker from American Heritage High in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is headed to Georgia Tech.

Long Beach Poly tight end Jaden Hernandez signed with Colorado State. The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder comes from one of the most successful high school football programs in history.

Linebacker Brody Flores, a 6-foot-3, 200-pounder from Grandview High in Aurora, Col., signed with Utah State.

Eli Sanchez anchors UNLV crop of Latino stars

Offensive lineman Eli Sanchez, one of the Top 15 Latinos in the Class of 2026, is one of UNLV’s top recruits in this class. Sanchez is a 6-foot-4, 275-pounder from Perkins High in Sandusky, Ohio.

Jesus Garcia II, one of the top prospects in the San Diego area, is headed to Sin City.  The 6-foot-5, 276-pound offensive tackle from Lincoln High signed with UNLV.

Tight end Andreas Diaz-Nicolaidis is staying home. The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder from Bishop Gorman signed with UNLV. Quarterback Derek Garcia, a 6-foot-3, 190-pounder from Ventura (Calif.) High, also signed with the Running Rebels.

Defensive lineman Jacob Lopez-Veasey signed with UTSA. He is a 6-foot-4, 240-pounder from Cornerstone Christian in San Antonio.
